Girl Tones kicked off the night at The Wellmont Theatre with raw, infectious energy. The sister-duo dynamic brought a refreshing punch of punk-tinged indie rock to pair with Silversun, who followed with a confident, expansive set that wove through their catalog with emotional intensity and tight musicianship. Brian Aubert’s vocals, even while pushing through a cold, carried the weight and urgency of the songs, supported by Nikki Monninger’s rich bass tone and the band’s lush sound. Between the visceral opener and the atmospheric main act, the evening felt like a balanced celebration of grit and melody.
