The Philadelphia area may have gotten 4 inches of snow that morning but it didn’t stop MGK from lighting up Xfinity Mobile Arena! Despite some technical difficulties, the show opened with MGK (Colson Baker) emerging from a giant Statue of Liberty head while his guitar descended from the rafters.
He opened with Outlaw Overture, a new one for Lost Americana, and had the crowd erupting. His first set included a nice mix of all of his genre-encompassing discography before breaking off to pay homage to the 5th anniversary of Tickets to My Downfall. He even climbed to the top of a giant hand holding a lit cigarette to perform I Think I’m Okay!
The 34-song set list still didn’t feel long enough if you ask the 10,000+ people in attendance. Safe to say, MGK can come back to Philly anytime!
